There's a big field in town, called Gärdet, that I assumed just grew wild, as the grass was quite long when we moved in last
September, and it's been growing all summer. They surprised me the other week by mowing it, and today I found out they baled all
the clippings. It looked very surreal, like some kind of alienscape. I thought it very cool. It only lasted a day, however, as they
hauled the bales off almost immediately. My colleague told me they do it to control the rodent population.
