I was very happy to find out that we had lilac bushes (trees?) in our back yard - they've been abloom lately, and smell so wonderful.
It's been interesting to note the later growing season because we're so far north - our friends in Kyiv had their lilacs about a month
ago, and our daffodils and tulips came about a month after the ones in Utah did. So, we're late bloomers, but at least we get 20
hours of sunshine!
