I took the morning off today to go with my parents to the WWII museum (known as the Great Patriotic War here), having never been
there before. It was interesting. From the top to bottom, the pics are of the Hall of Memories (pictures of people affected by the
war), the colossal Mother of the Homeland statue (the museum is located in her base), one of the sculptures in the "Alley of the
Hero Cities," the stairway leading to the room depicting the victory of the war (the color is symbolic, dark during the war, light at the
victory), a picture of Kyiv in ruins because of the war, and my dad in the cockpit of a MIG.
