I have to make some calls to the west coast today, so I'm up at 5:00 a.m. Yucky.
I exercise. After awhile Chester gets up, and then Audrey, who doesn't want her picture taken.
Smoothies for breakfast, then I pack my lunch while my lovely wife irons a shirt for me.
Heigh - ho! Heigh - ho! It's off to work I go!
Down the escalator to the metro, on the metro, up the escalator from the metro. Door to door my commute's about 30 minutes.
Some shots from work. Since I work in journalism, I peruse the International press on-line and the Ukrainian press in hard copy every day, attend meetings, pause to take a picture of the sun (a rare occurrence nowadays) edit some articles and then finally leave work about a quarter to six. Ukrainians tend to stay out late get up late, and the work day reflects this. I'm definitely the other way around!
The pedestrian walkways double as mini marketplaces with stalls selling anything you could imaging. Clockwise from top right are pirated DVDs, flowers, boxer briefs, batteries, pantyhose and socks, and fur hats. I didn't take a picture of the umbrella stand or the cheap perfume place.
Since I don't get home until 6:15 or 6:30, Laura usually has dinner waiting. Hamburgers today! Picture worthy enough for my day-in-the-life!
Finally a picture of Laura! Chester was more interested in the chocolate milk, though.
After dinner I get some time to play with and take pictures of the kiddos. Here Audrey's teaching Chester how to jump off the couch, just what I need!
After the kids are down, I grab a quick snack, watch a flick, and then finally head to bed.
