Back to Photo-a-Day Home
Of all the ties on my tie rack (46 and counting!), I like my yellow ones best.  Normally I'm not this particular about organizing my ties,
but we just unpacked them today.  It's quite possible we'll find more ties in another box somewhere.

In other news, I've been having some thoughts about my photography lately, as I'm coming up on 2 years of photo-a-day.  2 years.  I
started hoping to make it a month.  That surprises me.

I do love doing the pad.  I love having a fairly consistent journal of everything that's happened in the last 2 years.  I do feel like my
photos have improved, generally, although sometimes I do feel like the only thing that's improved is my ability to take somewhat
interesting photos of every day objects around my house.

Therefore, I'm in need of a project.  I'll still do photo-a-day, I'm sure, but I need something to excite my photographic juices.

Looking around, I've noticed
this guy's 100 strangers project.  The idea intrigues me a lot, and I think I may do it.

Another thought that I've been mulling on is a missionary-related project, somewhat similar to
this.  Having served my mission in
Sweden, and knowing that I'm going to be here for over 2 years, I thought it would be very interesting to document a missionary's
entire mission.  Maybe visit him once in each area to take photos and interview him about how the work is going.  The problem would
be getting permission from the Mission and possibly Area President.  I guess the question I'd have to answer is what these pictures
are going to be used for other than my own personal satisfaction/work?  I mean, the mission/church would be free to use them
however they wanted to, but what kind of ideas would I be able to present on how they could use them...  Also, a problem in getting
a missionary willing to let me do so.  Also, a problem of funding and traveling to each of the missionary's areas, I mean, what if he
gets transferred a lot? Something to think about, though, and I keep coming back to it...

So, what are your thoughts?  Any projects I can work on in the coming year...  besides, of course, pictures of Sweden and my
family?  Any answers to questions above?
I'm interested in input...
