After working for 44 years at my company, one of my co-workers is retiring tomorrow. Crazy. Laura volunteered (or rather, I
volunteered Laura) to make the cake for the party. She wanted to make a more masculine cake, but still have it be retirement
worthy. This is what she came up with. It was SOOOOOOOO good. The top layer was yellow cake, the bottom was chocolate cake.
Even the Swedes liked it, and they generally don't like American desserts. My wife is amazing. Amazing, I tell you! (In case you're
wondering, it was a total of five cake mixes and five pounds of powdered sugar, not to mention the box and a half of baking
chocolate!)
